It has no effect on bees, beneficial insects or mammals when used as directed. That makes it a common tool in IPM and organic programmes. Apply when larvae are young and feeding. Bt breaks down in UV light, so reapplication may be needed. Plant-protection products need national authorisation. Supplied only for crops and countries where the product is registered.
