Pheromone Mating-Disruption Dispensers

Passive dispensers release a species-specific sex pheromone through the season. Males cannot locate females, which cuts mating and the next larval generation. The method targets one pest species and leaves natural enemies alone. Hang dispensers before the first flight at the density on the label, typically several hundred per hectare. Reinforce the borders, and pair with trap monitoring. Works best over blocks of several hectares. Supplied only where the product is authorised for the target crop and pest.
